With pre-season training currently resuming, I was wondering what recommendations you would make for those trying to juggle team football training with their strength and conditioning program?
The current plan is to run football training on Monday + Wednesday evenings with an extra optional field session on Saturdays without the team (for speed, conditioning, etc.)
How would you structure the week (gym Mon AM, football Mon PM, etc.)? Would you still advise athletes to chase power & hypertrophy gains as the football loads increase? Or dial back ROM, volume in the gym and focus on football performance?
